DESCRIPTION:As we do every year, we are making our way to Graz again this year for the intergalactic roller disco of the Space Quads. This time, however, we are not just visitors, but are offering workshops on the disco day for anyone who would like to take a crash course in roller dancing.\n1 Workshop / 2 Session\n3.10.2026, 13:00–16:00 Uhr\nASKÖ Center Graz\nDuration: 90min each\nBasic requirements: Sessions 1 & 2 are „All-Level“ Coaches can support a variety of skill levels, but basic skating skills are strongly encouraged. This will not be an intro to skating/learn to skate course.\nParticipants should roll and stop safely, and are able to do some controlled side-stepping.\nSession 1: 13:00–14:30\nRhythm Skating: Basic Techniques\nWe will go over 3 foundational skills for rhythm skating moves – for each one there will be some technical explanation and some riffs with music.\nSession 2: 14:30–16:00\nPowerjam Line Dance Favorites\nWe jump right into the beginner-friendly, fun for any level line dances – repetitive choreos that use basic steps and have 2 or 4 „walls“ I.e. we change which way we are facing during the choreo. A fun way to groove in a group!\nBoth sessions will be led by 3 experienced skater-coaches from Powerjam Roller Skate (@powerjam_roller_skate Vienna) – Riannon „Moloko” (@molokoviolet) + Eva „Bitchy” (@bitch_buchannon) + Amanda (@a_bonnnnn).\nOur skate club works hard to build up skaters from their first days on quads and we pride ourselves on sensible drill strategies and good technique coaching to ensure skaters understand how a move “works” and good technique to serve a lifetime of safe skating.
